The compact inkjet Canon PIXMA MG2929 offers the possibility to scan documents in addition to the printing function. Communication with the device takes place via the USB interface and WLAN access. PictBridge is also supported. The printer is operated with two separate printer cartridges, can process A4 paper up to 275 grams per square meter and can store 60 sheets. The printer manages 8 pages per minute. The resolution is 4,800 x 600 dots per inch in black and white and color printing. The photo print quality is okay, but you can only print on photo paper up to 10 x 15 cm with the device. Unfortunately, DIN A4 printing on photo paper and borderless printing is not possible. As a pure photo printer, it is therefore hardly usable. Also when copying, the bottom margin is cut off too far up. The quality is okay, although not quite true to the original for color copies. You also have to have a little patience for scanning and copying with the Pixma. Compatibility exists with Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS. The Canon PIXMA MG2929 can be integrated directly into the home network via WLAN. The support for WLAN direct printing is also practical. In addition, it can be connected to the PC via USB, only a classic cable network connection is missing.

Installation procedure on Windows: The printer requires the Canon PIXMA MG2929 Driver and software files. Download the driver and connect the USB cable from the printer to your computer. Then follow the instructions on how to install the printer driver in the installation window.
Installation procedure on macOS: Download the file and mount the disk image (if available). When you open the installer file in the folder, the installation will start automatically. When you’re done, connect your printer and you’re ready to use your Canon PIXMA MG2929 printer.
