The Canon MAXIFY GX5120 is a pure ink tank printer with no scanning or copying capabilities, it is designed for maximum printing efficiency. With the ink tank system, the printer offers a huge ink yield at a low cost per page. Fittingly, the single printer without scan and fax module has a comparatively large paper tray, which should reduce maintenance costs. The printing unit works quite quickly for an inkjet system and about on the level of compact laser printers. It is only suitable for printing photos to a limited extent, as it does not support borderless printing. The printing unit achieves a decent 24 ipm in B/W and 15.5 ipm in color mode in standard quality according to ISO measurement. Due to the turning mechanism and the necessary drying time, the duplex printing speed is reduced to 13 ipm in B/W and 10 ipm in color. To get the Canon MAXIFY GX5120 to print, you can connect it to a computer via USB. For integration into a network, there is a choice between Ethernet (cable) or WLAN. The 5 GHz band is supported, but not the current WPA-3 encryption.
