A color inkjet printer such as the Canon PIXMA iX6820 is recommended for private users and workgroups who print comparatively little. Since this model uses separate color cartridges, it offers a high potential for savings. Paper can optionally be printed borderless in B5, A4, B4, A5, A3+ and A3 formats. When it comes to paper types, the device can handle envelopes, photo paper, plain paper and glossy paper. The paper compartment offers space for up to 170 sheets. With the duplex function, the printer can automatically print on both sides of a sheet. This increases ease of use and helps to save paper. The printer does its job quite slowly. The print speed is 7 pages/min in black and white and 5 pages/min for color print jobs. Equipped with LAN, USB and WLAN, the model can be easily connected to other devices. For wireless connections, it uses the WLAN standards IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g or IEEE 802.11n, with the latter above guaranteeing fast data transmission. The Canon PIXMA iX6820 also facilitates wireless printing via smartphone or tablet via mobile technologies such as Apple AirPrint.

Installation procedure on Windows: The printer requires the Canon PIXMA iX6820 Driver and software files. Download the driver and connect the USB cable from the printer to your computer. Then follow the instructions on how to install the printer driver in the installation window.
