The home office printer with scan, copy and fax functions deliver a maximum of 19 b / w pages or 13 color pages per minute. Depending on the color application, up to 1,200 black-and-white pages or 900 color pages can be output with the optional XL inks. The closed paper cassette has space for 250 sheets of plain paper. The color and text reproduction are consistent and clean. Unfortunately, borderless printing and automatic duplex scanning via the ADF are not provided. On top of that, they are characterized by a high color fidelity of 95.1 percent. The speed, however, needs improvement: the Canon MAXIFY MB2120 needed 5 seconds to print a DIN A4 text document and 23 seconds to scan it. If you can get by with an ink device without borderless printing, the printer is well suited for a home office. All the necessary functions including duplex printing are on board. The printer supports Google Cloud Print, Apple Air Print, Mopria, and the Canon PRINT app. You can print from various cloud storage media via WLAN or scan your documents directly there. Without WLAN, you can establish a wireless connection to the Canon MAXIFY MB2120 using the direct access point mode.
