Canon has added new features to its Canon imagePRESS Lite C270 printers. The full-color sheet-fed presses can now be operated with an automatic duplex feeder for sheets up to 762 mm in length. In addition, Canon offers more powerful workflow solutions for the faster processing of print data. According to Canon, the new POD Deck Lite XL-A1 Long Sheet Feeder enables automatic duplex feeding of 1,000 sheets up to a length of 762 mm. Print service providers can use the new input tray to produce larger runs of applications in the area of advertising materials, books and various high-quality graphic applications – such as book covers, long postcards or direct mailings. Canon imagePRESS Lite C270 with the new feeder, standard media can be processed in addition to banner formats. Thanks to version 6 of the manufacturer’s Prisma Sync controller, the speed of color calibration has been tripled by using one halftone instead of three. Fogra or Idealliance color proofing processes should be able to be carried out fully automatically. According to Canon, the improved controller can also be connected to third-party JDF/JMF workflows to further increase production efficiency.

Installation procedure on Windows: The printer requires the Canon imagePRESS Lite C270 Driver and software files. Download the driver and connect the USB cable from the printer to your computer. Then follow the instructions on how to install the printer driver in the installation window.
Installation procedure on macOS: Download the file and mount the disk image (if available). When you open the installer file in the folder, the installation will start automatically. When you’re done, connect your printer and you’re ready to use your Canon imagePRESS Lite C270 printer.
